i have this theory.

this theory that... you have to learn to be single before you can ever be in a working relationship.

because if you go from relationship to relationship, you never learn how to love yourself.

and if you don't know how to love yourself, you don't know how you should be loved.

and you let people go on loving you in all the wrong ways.

and you'll never have a functional, healthy relationship.

you'll always be unhappy.

and you won't know why.

i'll tell you why- it's because you've never learned who you are, what you want or need. you don't know yourself, you don't love yourself. you let people tell you how to feel about yourself because you've never been independent enough to learn it on your own.



and i'm not the only one who feels that way....
